Animania's largest event - the Animania Festival Weekend - is getting ready to land!
Once again fans of all ages can enjoy screenings, karaoke, art workshops, video games, panels and crazy stage shows at our 2010 Animania Festival Weekend. There will be plenty of interactive mini-games, cosplay games, dance classes, and stallholders to tempt you with plushies, figurines and more! Plus, the yummy Food Fair will be back too.
Fans can also expect to see some fantastic costumes as part of the Animania Festival Cosplay Competition and the 2010/2011 World Cosplay Summit (WCS) Australian Preliminary. The winners of the WCS Preliminary will head to Japan in 2011 to compete in the WCS in Nagoya, Japan!
We will also be welcoming a very special guest on the Sunday of the Animania Festival Weekend. Rika Matsumoto, the Japanese seiyū (voice actress) of Satoshi (a.k.a. Ash Ketchum), the main character of Pokemon. She also sings all of the Japanese Pokemon opening songs! So make sure you come on the Sunday to hear her sing, get questions answered and get an autograph!
