States:
New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia
National Summary:
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Carlos is causing heavy, thundery rain over the NT Top End. Tropical Cyclone Dianne is well off the WA coast and so is having little affect. Warm northerlies are pushing into the east, ahead of a trough bringing heavy rain and storms to NSW, VIC and TAS.
The main polar jet is well to the south of Australia, keeping colder air well away. A spin off from the jet, across the south of the country is helping a trough and low to deepen over the southeast.
