So I'm busy working on my Nostromo N52 mod, replacing rubber domes with a mix of Cherry Switches (Red Cherries - swweeeeet) and I stick this metal plate back on.
It is the backing to the membrane (pretty common on decent keyboards) and adds some heft to the N52 to keep it from sliding around. The bad news is that the tolerances to the switch are so tight that it will short the keys if I press REAL hard. I could just cut the plate in two and glue it to the bottom of the case or......
