The chapter began as a Veteran Support Group which later evolved into VVA #337. Original members include: Ray Phillips, Gordon Williams, Larry McCullaugh.

A memorial was designed and dedicated Memorial Day 1984. In 1998, a plaque was added listing those Killed-In-Action who had resided in the Purchase area of Western Kentucky.

Our members were deeply involved in the making of "In Country." A movie starring Bruce Willis and Emily Lloyd which featured a Vietnam Veteran suffering from PTSD. We have been a very active chapter in service to our Brother and Sister Veterans of three states, including the VA Hospital in Marion Illinois and the VA Clinic in Paducah, Kentucky.

We are still planning and serving, on the books is a Vietnam Veteran Museum, drivers for the DAV vans, etc.

We are dedicated to our God, our families, our country. We will continue to serve all veterans until the final "Taps."
