October 26, 2010 – Springer’s Major Reference Works Now Linked via Reference Universe

Paratext announces that thousands of links to more than 150 Major Reference Works from Springer will be integrated into Paratext’s Reference Universe service.

Springer’s electronic and print Major Reference Works are the mainstay of specialist research, serving a broad spectrum of scientific, technical and medical disciplines, and routinely winning awards for their authoritative and detailed coverage.

June 21, 2010 - CQ Researcher and CREDO Reference now linked via Reference Universe

Paratext announces that comprehensive links to CQ Researcher to titles in CREDO Reference are now online and accessible through the Reference Universe service.  These are among the most heavily requested additions to the service.

Links to over 800 issues of CQ Researcher are now online in Reference Universe, offering in-depth coverage of key political and social issues, including health, international affairs, education, public policy, the environment, technology, and the United States.

In addition, over 2 million citations to 390 titles found in CREDO Reference are now also up-to-date within the Reference Universe service.

Finally, additional titles from Gale’s Virtual Reference Library from 2008-2009 are also being loaded into the system this month, bringing the total number of citations in Reference Universe to more than 25 million.

February 11, 2010 – Blackwell Reference Online Now Accessible through Reference Universe

Paratext announces the addition of links to 450 e-titles within Blackwell Reference Online from the Reference Universe platform. Blackwell Reference Online brings together Wiley–Blackwell’s critically acclaimed Blackwell Companions and Handbooks, as well as major encyclopedias, including the Blackwell Encyclopedia of Sociology and the International Encyclopedia of Communication.

January 14, 2010 – Paratext Adds 12-Million Full-Text Links

Paratext, an independent information company serving the global library market, has added more than 12-million links from its core research products—19th Century Masterfile (NCM) and Public Documents Masterfile (PDM)—to full-text resources, many in the public domain. These links, which will be fulfilled through Google Book Search™ and Google News Archive Search™, include more than one-million links to documents in The New York Times Archive.
