Costumes

  • No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service: This is the hotel’s policy. Additionally, people drop a lot of things on the floor, and you don't want to step on them, so please wear some form of footwear.
  • All costumers must have a torso covering. Despite the double standard created by our society at large, in the interest of fairness to both sexes, we must insist that both genders wear appropriate torso coverings. Meaning at least a sports bra’s worth of covering on top for girls and some sort of shirt or vest for guys. If you have questions, please ask.
  • You MUST have some sort of bottom coverings, if we can see your underwear you need to cover up. If we can see you have no underwear on, you need to cover up. No lingerie costumes will be allowed. If you have questions, please ask.
  • Nudity, even the illusion of such, is strictly forbidden both in the halls and Costume Contest.
  • Due to some spectacular shenanigans in the past, no metal handcuffs are allowed at NDK.
  • There will be no removing of articles of clothing for pictures or during the Costume Contest. If you need to have any sort of extra covering to adhere to the guidelines then it must stay on during the entire convention.
  • You should not have any costume pieces that extend more than 1 foot from your body in any given direction. This is for the safety of others at NDK, as there are many people, and the halls are crowded.
  • You must adhere to the NDK weapons policy.
  • No signs are allowed at the convention under any circumstances. If you are carrying or wearing a sign, you will be asked to put it in your car or room for the entirety of the convention.
