Washington linebacker Mason Foster has been named a first-team All-American by rivals.com, the website announced today. Foster had previously been named to scout.com's All-America first-team.

Foster, a senior from Seaside, Calif., is the Pac-10's leading tackler. With 151 total tackles, he's also second in the nation and has more tackles than any Pac-10 player since 1989, when the UW's James Clifford had 168.

The Huskies return to the practice field this Friday to prepare for the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, where they'll take on Nebraska Dec. 30 in San Diego.
