Namibia welcomes Beach Volleyball clinic

Participants from South Africa, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique and Namibia will take part in the three-day course | Windhoek, Namibia, December 2, 2010 – An international Beach Volleyball Clinic hosted by the Namibian Volleyball Federation for Southern African countries began on Thursday at the Arebbusch Travel Lodge in Windhoek.
The clinic is being conducted by FIVB instructor Christian Didembourg from Belgium and is set to last three days.
The clinic is to be attended by national federation presidents and Beach Volleyball directors from South Africa, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Mozambique and Namibia and has been organised in the run-up to the newly launched CAVB Continental Beach Volleyball Cup which presents countries with an additional qualification opportunity for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Beach Volleyball Clinic aims to educate countries on how to organise Beach Volleyball events professionally, how to participate in Beach Volleyball competitions and how to officiate Beach Volleyball matches. The staging of the clinic offers a great opportunity to Southern African counties to improve the standard of their competitions and raise the overall level of the sport on the continent.
