AMENDMENT C109 - 31-45 LEARMONTH ROAD, ALFREDTON


Planned FX Pty Ltd, on behalf of the Ryan Group, has submitted a combined planning scheme amendment and planning permit application to rezone part of 31 -45 Learmonth Road, Alfredton from Special Use Zone 10 to Business 1 Zone in order to facilitate the development of a neighbourhood shopping centre.  The proposal includes the development of a 1500sqm supermarket.

Council has appointed Hansen Partnership Pty Ltd from its Strategic Planning Panel to independently consider the amendment request and, if Council resolves to prepare an amendment, progress the amendment request on Council’s behalf.

In January 2009 Council requested further information from the applicant in respect of the combined amendment request.  Once all information has been received to the satisfaction of Council officers, a report will be prepared for Council to consider whether to seek the Minister for Planning’s authorisation to prepare and formally exhibit the combined amendment request.
