About the Project

Tyee Middle School will be the first of three middle schools to be modernized.  This project will involve a significant portion of the current school campus being demolished and replaced with a new building.  Only several components of the current structure will remain, namely the gymnasiums.  The project is currently in initial data collection and meetings with the staff are underway to collect information.  This project is scheduled to bid in early spring of 2010 with construction beginning in June 2010 and the project completed in August 2012.  Tyee students and staff will be housed at Ringdall Middle School during the project.
