Student Account Financial Registration
All students must make financial arrangements with the Business Office on or before Monday, August 30, 2010, for fall semester, and Monday, January 31, 2011, for spring semester. This includes returning the Student Data Sheet (SDS) and a completed worksheet with an approved payment plan. These should be returned to the Student Accounts Office even if your balance will be paid in full.
The SDS and worksheet will be mailed mid July for fall semester and in December for spring semester. You may return these anytime after you receive and complete them. If you do not receive these forms, please contact the Student Accounts Office and they will be sent to you. Completing applications for financial aid does NOT take the place of final registration.
All college charges (tuition, room, board and fees) are due at the beginning of each semester. Bethel College offers three payment plans.
All Student Data Sheets (SDS) and monthly statements are sent directly to the student. The Student Data Sheet is the bill that details the charges and financial aid for the upcoming semester. Any forwarding of the SDS or the monthly statement to a parent is the student’s responsibility. However, if you would like your monthly statement of account sent to someone other than yourself, you must sign a waiver form at the Business Office.
Students registering after August 30, 2010, for the fall semester, or January 31, 2011, for the spring semester will be considered late registrants subject to a $50 late financial arrangements fee. Late registrations will be accepted.
If you have questions regarding this information, forms or have billing or payment questions please contact Karen Garcia.
Forms you will need to complete registration:
Student Data Sheets (SDS)
The SDS is the initial billing for the upcoming semester. It includes demographic information about students, schedule of classes, charges and financial aid.
This form is the bill used to financially register and to determine your costs for the semester. Preliminary fall billings are sent to the student’s campus boxes in May to remind the students of things they may need to take care of before they leave for the summer. Example: Enrollment, housing and financial aid. The actual fall bill is sent out in July to the students at their home address. The spring billing is mailed out in early December to campus boxes.
Fall 2010 Student Account Financial Registration Worksheet
This form is sent out with the semester billings. Please use it to determine what your costs for the semester and to select a payment plan. This worksheet must be completed, signed and turned in with your Student Data Sheet before you can move on campus or get your student ID. Please return this form to the Student Accounts Office. We encourage you to mail in your registration prior to the beginning of classes especially if you plan to arrive on campus late. Print fall 2010 worksheet.
Bethel College Student Waiver Form
If you would like your statement sent to your parent/guardian or if you would like to give Bethel College permission to visit with your parent/guardian regarding your student account or financial aid, fill out the Bethel College Student Waiver Form and return it to the Student Account Office.
Student Insurance Enrollment / Waiver Form
Students attending Bethel College are required to have health insurance if they are enrolled in 9 hours or more. You will be charged accordingly for insurance if an Enrollment Form is not returned declining the insurance. Please complete and return this form to the Student Accounts Office. EVERY student must complete this Insurance Enrollment Form, even if they have completed a Parent Athletic Insurance Form for the athletic department. Print Student Insurance Enrollment / Waiver Form.
Unpaid Accounts
A student with a balance on his or her student account is not eligible to re-enroll or receive grades, transcripts or diplomas until the account has been settled or a release has been given by the Controller. The college reserves the right to charge a student for damages to college property as a result of carelessness.
Interest on delinquent payments will be assessed at the rate of 1% per month on the unpaid balance. Any and all collection effort expenses will be passed on to the delinquent student. The failure of the college to enforce these provisions at any one time or with respect to any one student shall not constitute a waiver of the right of the college to enforce it at any other time, at all times, or with respect to any other student.
