Aerial view of Australian towns hit by floods

Help

Around 1,000 people in Queensland have been evacuated from their homes in Australia's worst flooding in decades.

The government has declared Theodore as a disaster zone and Chinchilla and Dalby are all under water.

Aerial pictures show some of the damage in Rockhampton, Chinchilla, Dalby and Bundaberg.

Rockhampton's Mayor, Brad Carter, said it was likely that the town would be cut off from the south and the west.
