Sometimes one wonders what it takes to be a genius. Is it only by definition of the word intelligent quotient (IQ)? A measure of mental age (MA) divide by chronological age (CA) multiplies by 100 that becomes a percentage. The variable from imbecile people of an IQ of less than fifty percent to the genius category with an IQ of over one hundred and thirty percent of which 2.1 percent are present in the general population. Above this group takes us to the Hamilton Institute of the International high IQ society. Whatever this percentage is, I consider people of ingenuity are those that have the excellent gift of understanding, and able to produce solutions to extra ordinarily difficult situations or circumstances.
President Koroma’s ingenious brain child “ATTITUDINAL CHANGE” has brought a new school of thought, which is branding Sierra Leone in a new positive dimension world wide. Sierra Leoneans are once again beginning to feel proud of belonging to a country that has joined the new world order of civilized nations. The sense of unity is beginning to grow among Sierra Leoneans. International partnership is growing day by day. The United Nations statistics for growth and development in the areas of health and the economy are improving. Dr Earnest B Koroma is now viewed as a beacon of peace globally. It was a big signal to the world when at an infantile time of his presidency; he demonstrated leadership and pointed out the functions of democracy as compared to the Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe who is on the opposite side of the isle.
It is without doubt the South African government is recognizing President Ernest Koroma in a special honor of peace and in this regard the regional body, the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) chose him along with two other presidents to broker peace between the incumbent Lauren Gbagbo and the man recognized by the international community to have won the past elections-Alhassan Outarra. President Koroma untiring efforts in fostering relationship among members of the Mano River Union, the diplomatic handling of the Yenga issue with neighboring Guinea further enlightens his fine statesmanship and a true leader of peace.
This progress of change would not have been possible without the valid support of his government and first lady Madam Sia Koroma, and the entire support of Sierra Leoneans that embrace the agenda of positive change. The agenda for change of attitude is still gathering momentum here in the United States and the entire Diaspora the fifth province.
As a true patriot and a Sierra Leonean I am appealing to all to unite and work for our nation. Now is the time to put all hands on deck and continue to work harder for a better Sierra Leone. The last wagon is leaving for Sierra Leone before April 27, jump into the wagon to give your support to the development of our country. I know it is difficult sometimes to leave our beautiful homes, cars, and families and friends. Please remember you owe a lot to Sierra Leone and God’s willing I am already on my way.
The human resources of our country need our support. Dr Koroma cannot do everything for us all by himself. Let’s exert all our effort and expertise to contribute in any way to the development of Sierra Leone. The hospitals and other sectors of our society need our expertise knowledge. Sierra Leoneans and non Sierra Leoneans are invited to make meaningful partnership of investments. Sierra Leone is small paradise take your position now before it is too late. I believe with progressive attitudinal change Sierra Leone will be a better place for all.
