Academics at University of Alberta give wrong credit in discovery of B.C.’s first pterosaur

Paleontologists say a fossil discovered inside a fist-sized rock on B.C.'s Hornby Island belongs to a rare flying reptile. University of Alberta paleontologist Victoria Arbour says she initially thought the fossil belonged to a dinosaur. But Arbour says the jaw bone fossil has been traced to the flying reptile that had a three-metre wing span.
