The rearing of goats as part of agricultural activities by farmers in rural communities is fast becoming a lucrative business. Most farmers in the Moyamba District, Southern Sierra Leone are now concentrating on raising goats for commercial purposes. The high demand for goats by members of the public has had a corresponding increase in farmers to rear this specie as a way of making money. For most communities in the Moyamba District and beyond goat is a coveted commodity and a farmer can pay a whole year school fees for a child attending primary or Junior secondary school from the proceeds of a single goat sold. Harvesting of 500 acres of rice cultivated at Tobada, Taninahun and Rubebu all in the YKK.Kpanga Kabondeh and Kpanga Krim Chiefdoms in the Pujehun District by the F.S Anthony Foundation has been concluded. The Town Chief of Komende Gaytiwalo in the Lower Bambara Chiefdom Kenema District Musa Kamanda has called on the Central and Local government, International and Local NGOs operating in the Kenema District to improve on the road network in their community. Musa Kamanda made this appeal at a Press conference recently. He said Komende is among the list of the highest cocoa, coffee and cola nuts producing communities in Kenema District therefore they need good roads to link it up with nearby towns and cities. The long awaited verdict in the three decades long Court battle over the Diamond Mining village of Walihun on the bank of the Sewa River in the Bumpeh Ngao Chiefdom, Bo District, has been handed down in favour of Haja Mamie Yayah Gatewa of Mogbedeh town in the local Court presided over by Court Chairman Joseph S.
