    Abhishek Bachchan was in Italy recently where he wined and dined with none other than the ace designer Salvatore Ferragamo. During his stay at the centrally-located Hotel Lungarno, which is owned by the Salvatore Ferragamo Group, Abhishek Bachchan was also invited to Palazzo Spini Feroni for a welcome lunch with the Ferragamo family, followed by a personalised tour of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. The actor witnessed the rich heritage of Ferragamo when he interacted with the shoemakers there. What’s more, the shoemakers created a customized pair of shoes for Abhishek, who became the first Indian actor to receive the made to order tramezza shoes.

    Aamir Khan has been signed on to play the villian in Yashraj’s Dhoom 3. He will have a totally different look in the film which is being designed as of now. I will be evil yet sexy like a James Bond villain. The shoot will begin by the end of this year and the film will release in 2012. Vijay Krishna Acharya of Tashan fame dons the directors hat. He is also the writer of Dhoom and Dhoom 2.

    A funny thing happened when Salman Khan called up choreographer Mudassar to choreograph a song for Dabangg. Salman, who’d seen him on one of the reality shows was so impressed by him that he called him to choreograph. Now Mudassar innocent to the ways of Salman, agreed to do the song and asked the star to come to the rehearsal hall. Salman of course was stumped by the request. That’s when Salman’s assistant Nadeem took over and told him that bhai, as Salman is popularly known, doesn’t go anywhere, people come to meet bhai at home. True film style. Isn’t it?

    Priyanka Chopra is very particular about her food. She loves her mutton biryani, butter chicken and fish fry. So much that every meal must include non vegetarian food. Otherwise she’s capable of throwing the biggest tantrums.  Like recently, she landed up at home for dinner unannounced. The menu was completely vegetarian fare. And Priyanka raised hell. Within minutes, the entire kitchen staff got into action and all her favourite non vegetarian food was put on the table. Only then did peace prevail at the Chopra household.

Sanjay was very excited about playing his father’s role. He promptly agreed to do the film. But as a few days passed he heard that the filmmaker was keen to sign Mallika Sherawat for Vyjanathimala’s role. Apparently, the minute Dutt learnt about who his co-star would be,  he cited date problems and backed out of the film.

    The buzz in trade circles is that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has approached Abhishek Bachchan for his next film. We hear that Bhansali is planning to make a rather contemporary film this time. Abhishek’s character is complex and modern. Earlier we’d heard that Bhansali was planning to revive the Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer, Bajirao Mastani.  But now it seems that Bhansali has no plans of reviving Bajirao Mastani just yet. He’ll do it but later. Right now, he wants to concentrate only the Abhishek starrer.

    Priyanka Chopra we all know is a big Madhuri Dixit fan. Imagine her excitement when she realised that Madhuri Dixit was shooting for a reality show on the next stage at Filmistan studio. Priyanka herself was shooting for an ad while Shah Rukh Khan was shooting for Don 2 in the same studio. The moment Priyanka got to know about Madhuri she went up to Shah Rukh and requested him to introduce her to the diva. SRK very sweetly took PC across to Madhuri. The moment the two actresses came face to face, all hell broke loose. Both the actresses were effusive in their praise for each other and they talked nineteen to nine hundred. So much that they forgot all about SRK. After he’d been ignored for a while, SRK butted in saying, “I knew this would happen. I would be left out.” And every one burst out laughing. Sweet!!
