Update: We have received contradicting accounts of this story, and are no longer certain Ghonim has been released Egyptian cyber activist and Google executive Wael Ghonim has been released today, as Egyptians continue to demand the end of Mubarak regime. Protesters at Tahrir Square have named Ghonim their spokesman, to pressure the government to release him.
