Back when she was Lauren\'s wing-woman, Whitney rolled up to the MTV Movie Awards in a cute little ruffled floral halter dress. She accessorized with her three best frenemies, but don\'t you think this look is more afternoon in the park than award show?

Whit kept it casual in well-fit skinny jeans, a plain white tank, and awesome nude heels. We just wish she\'d give that sea-foam sheer jacket thing back to the genie she stole it from though.

Getting even more casual, Whitney rocked a typical L.A. outfit, with skinny jeans, flip-flops, shades, and a loose-fitting white shirt. You\'d never guess that this regular California girl would become such a major fashionista!

Whitney showed off her funky side in a light-wash denim halter romper and leather boots. It\'s definitely not a look that everyone can pull off, but this future
City girl isn\'t one to shy away from trends! Our only concern is how she managed to go to the bathroom in that thing...

She ditched the western-style boots, but kept the country look with this floral sweetheart-neck strapless dress. It\'d be cute if the print wasn\'t so insane, and if she had accessorized with something other than pink flip-flops, tan lines, and plastic wristbands.

Whitney pulled herself together with a cute black belt and strappy gold heels for the Emmy after-party at perennial
Hills hotspot, Les Deux. However, appropriately enough for the locale, the pattern on this loose dress reminds us of Lauren\'s eyeliner-streaked face after a crying fight with Brody/Heidi/Audrina.

For the finale party for season three of
The Hills, Whitney channeled another ultracute television star: Minnie Mouse. This polka-dotted red dress is super-short, but she looks totally adorable, and hey, that\'s what opaque tights were made for!

Whitney took a fashion risk dressing like a Greek goddess in this flowy, draped off-white gown with chunky gold bracelets. She looks classically beautiful and, by Zeus, we love it! Can\'t you just imagine her on the side of an ancient vase?

Whit rocked yet another flowy white dress for this Christmastime charity gala. Fittingly, it\'s a modified version of the wrap dress, invented by her former boss, Diane von Furstenberg! The oversized green snakeskin clutch doesn\'t totally go, but combined with her red watch, we have to assume she was going for a little holiday spirit.

At the Alexander McQueen for Target launch party, Whit paired a black-and-white patterned blazer over a mint-green silk wrap dress (Gotta support DVF!). They\'re probs cute separately, but we\'re quite sure this look got the up-and-down from Olivia Palermo.

How killer is that gold sequined jacket? This is a prime example of a funky fashion risk that totally worked. She combined her wacky style sensibility with her casual skinny jeans and black flats for a totally put-together, yet still fashion forward, look.

Whitney got stylin\' for the CFDA Fashion Awards in her new adopted city, NYC. The stripy gray pattern is way more subdued than some of her previous outfits (Hello, florals!), and it\'s classy, without being boring. We especially love the crisscross in the back of this gown. Whit looks grown-up but still fun. Way to go!\r\n
\r\nWhitney\'s definitely made some fashion mistakes, but that just speaks to the usually stylish star\'s fashion fearlessness. Whitney isn\'t afraid to try out new styles and trends and make them totally her own. She\'s gone from laid-back California girl to stylish New York fashionista in three years flat, and we can\'t wait to see what she\'ll wear next!\r\n
