Biography:

Angana's career as a theater artiste started with Aarabdha Natya Vidyalay (group theater led by the famous Tripti Mitra) where she trained for 7 years. She performed in the play Raktakarabi (Red Oleanders) by Rabindranath Tagore (in the role of Nandini). She was an actor with Theatre Centre group for the play Abhigyan Shakuntalam, in the role of Priyamvada. Angana acted in Bish-Brikkho in the role of Suryamukhi. She was with the Gandhar theater group and acted in Bhamma, the Bengali translation of a Russian play 'Uncle Vanya' written by Anton Chekov. Angana acted with the Shomikkhon theatre group in the play Mrichchakatika, in the lead role of Vasantasena.
