GAMESPY ANNOUNCES MAJOR FEATURE UPGRADE TO INDUSTRY-LEADING "ATLAS" GAME COMPETITION SYSTEM

Innovative Statistics and Competition Technology That Powered Best-Selling Titles in 2007 Unveils Revamped Tournament and Ladder System As Well As New Teams SDK

BRISBANE, Calif. - February 20, 2008 - IGN Entertainment's GameSpy, a leader in multiplayer and online gaming technology, today announced a major upgrade to its industry-leading ATLAS game competition technology. Announced at last year's Game Developers Conference, ATLAS has been well-received by publishers and developers, having powered statistical tracking and competition for best-selling titles like Command & Conquer 3, Unreal Tournament 3 and Crysis. ATLAS is the videogame industry's only one-stop-shop for publishers and developers to easily create advanced statistical systems for use in tournaments and competition both in-game and on the Web.

The new, upgraded ATLAS technology suite includes:
• Track Thousands of Statistics
Dramatically expands the number of statistics that can be tracked per player, allowing developers to track thousands of statistics for every gamer. Designed for maximum flexibility, ATLAS statistics can be used to enhance the player experience, as well as to guide future development.
• Web Publishing
Publish real-time gameplay stats directly to a game's Web site or in game applications through the ATLAS API.
• Revamped Leaderboards
New leaderboard functionality makes rankings easier to user for gamers and simpler to create for developers.
• GameSpy Arena Re-launch
Redesigned GameSpy Arena 2.0 provides developers and publishers with a turnkey Web-based solution for hosting stats, competition and communities.

GameSpy also announced a new Teams SDK, which will be available immediately as part of GameSpy's overall technology offering, The Teams technology will enable gamers to create, manage and join teams through both in-game applications and integrated Web sites. The new Teams SDK also allows developers to build social applications, providing their users the tools and support to organize themselves into clans or teams.

"By adding these important new Competition and Teams features to our technology offering GameSpy continues to provide a comprehensive online gaming solution for our publisher and developer partners across multiple platforms.," said Todd Northcutt, Director of GameSpy Technology. "Publishers and developers want to connect with and engage their core audience for months and years after the launch of their game. By helping to bridge the gap between the in-game/out-of-game experience, GameSpy is providing the technology that expands gaming far beyond typical online play."

Over the past twelve months, GameSpy's ATLAS system has been a critical component in providing publishers and developers compelling competition packages to AAA titles. Among those videogame titles utilizing ATLAS are Unreal Tournament 3, Command & Conquer 3, Empire Earth III and Crysis.
