Her waist-length brown hair is surely the envy of her friends, but yesterday Sir Philip Green's daughter Chloe showed that having Rapunzel-style locks comes at a price.

Taking in the sun, sea and sand on a Barbadian beach holiday, the 19-year-old's day of leisure was interrupted when her hair got so tangled in the water that she had to ask a friend to help her sort it out.

Wincing with pain as her mystery male companion struggled to untangle her long hair, Chloe was eventually set free, and was able to enjoy the sparkling crystal-clear waters once again.

Looking svelte and trim in a frilly blue bikini, she messed about in the water before taking to the beach for some down time.

The teenager is on holiday in Barbados with her parents Sir Philip and Lady Christina and brother Brandon on their annual trip to the Caribbean island.

The Green family usually spend the Christmas and New Year period at the five-star Sandy Lane Hotel in a $25,000-a-night villa.

Along with annual Christmas visitors Simon Cowell and Michael Winner, other celebrity guests at the hotel last year included TV presenter Emma Forbes, X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke and the Sugababes.

After completing school in Monaco last year, Chloe is hoping to follow in the footsteps of her business mogul father and has been learning the ropes at Arcadia's head office in London's West End.

Although her father shot down reports his daughter will be replacing Kate Moss's fashion range at Topshop, the teenager has made no secret of her designing aspirations.

In an interview last year, Chloe admitted it was tough working alongside her father's employees, but was hopeful about working her way up the fashion career ladder.

She said: 'It's hard in head office because everyone knows I'm the boss's daughter. They think it must be so easy. It's not. If I think about it too much, I start wishing I was someone else.

'Hopefully, one day I might design a "Chloe Green at Topshop" range. I don't think it's asking too much.'
