Advanced Search
Get the most relevant results with the Advanced Search by entering detailed Job search criteria. The advanced search form is broken down into several sections. In addition to keyword and location, you can search by job title and knowledge.
How to Search
Your search results will be the same using the Quick Search form or the Advanced Search form assuming you filled in just the Quick Search form fields.
Keyword Search
The keyword search of the quick search form is divided into two columns, the ‘Search All Content’ column and the ‘Search Job Titles Only’ column. ‘Search All Content’ looks for specified keywords of your choice in the entire content of the Jobs whereas ‘Search Job Titles Only’ looks for specific keywords of your choice in the jobs’s desired job titles.
If you know the title of a position you are looking to fill, we recommend you use the ‘Search Job Titles Only’ column. If you enter the same keyword in the ‘Search All Content’ field, the search will return more results but they may be less relevant.
All Words/Complex Search Strings
By inserting a word in the ‘All Words/Complex Search Strings’ field, your entire criteria specified is required and each job returned in your search results must include at least one instance of the keyword(s). For example, if you search on “Engineer”, the results will include jobs with the term “Engineer” or its equivalency in the content. By inserting two words in this field, for example, (Engineer CAD), the results will return jobs that have both “Engineer” and “CAD” in their descriptions.
Single Phrase
A single phrase search is a search for a group of two or more words, which returns only Jobs that have content matching the exact phrase you entered, in the order it was entered and in a row. For example, a search for “Sales Manager” will only return jobs with the exact phrase, “Sales Manager” and it will not return jobss with the single words “Sales” or “Manager” alone in their descriptions. Similarly, it will not return jobs with a description containing the reverse relationship such as “Manager Sales”.
Any of These Words
Use the ‘Any of these words’ field to broadly search for jobs that have the keywords in any order within the job content. For example, if you insert the keywords “java php” into this field, the jobs returned in the search will have a description with either “java” or “php” in the content.
None of These Words
Use the ‘None of these words’ field to exclude elements from your job search. For example, if you for a marketing position but you are not interested in a sales representatives type job, enter “marketing” into the ‘All of these words’ field – either Search All Content or Search Job Titles Only – and “sales” into the ‘None of these words’ field. This search will return jobs with marketing backgrounds and filter out those in a sales representatives role.
