    I-12 EB between Millerville and the on-ramp at O'Neal Ln. alternating lane closures Wed., March 16 to Fri., March 18, 8 pm-5 am each night for striping operations. O'Neal ramps closed periodically March 16 only. Obey signs, drive the speed limit, keep hands on the wheel.

    Periodic closures of the O'Neal Ln on and off ramps for EB I-12 Wed., March 16, 8 pm-5 am for striping operations.
  • 3/11/2011
    NB and SB right lanes of O-Neal Ln. at I-12 closed through April 10. Travel times through this area will be impacted. Alternate routes suggested.
  • 3/15/2011
    I-10 EB one lane closed between Siegen and Highland, Tues. and Wed. March 15-16. Work includes placing concrete barriers, and shoulder work.

The Geaux Wider Program

Baton Rouge, LA


The Louisiana DOTD Geaux Wider program is a multi-year construction initiative designed to increase capacity, improve safety and enhance mobility on Interstates 10 and 12 in East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes.

The following interstate segments will be widened to six lanes under the Geaux Wider program:

  • Interstate 10, from the I-10/12 split to Siegen Lane.
  • Interstate 10, from the Siegen Lane interchange to Highland Road.
  • Interstate 12, from the O'Neal Lane interchange to Pete's Highway.
  • Interstate 12 eastbound, from Pete's Highway to Juban Road.

Construction is underway now with the completion date for the entire program estimated for 2013.
