[edit] Make a request

If you'd like your WikiProject featured in an upcoming WikiProject report, feel free to add it to the list below. Note that these requests are entirely advisory, and may or may not be used in future reports. Please keep requests short and concise.

WikiProject News Sidebar requests go in the next section.

[edit] Interview requests

We did WikiProject Aviation last month which has quite a bit of overlap in membership and goals with WikiProject Aircraft. Let's wait a little on this one. -Mabeenot (talk) 00:13, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Waited... WikiCopter (simplecommonslostcvuonau) 15:20, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
  • Scheduled WP:FUN - quite an old project that provides light relief to many thousands of Wikipedians through its sub-pages unless it has been done before... Simply south (talk) 23:48, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Scheduled WP:SOLAR is looking pretty sleek and could use some publicity..--Novus Orator 07:24, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Scheduled WP:COUNCIL - the ultimate project overseeing the others or has this been done before? Simply south (talk) 13:32, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Scheduled WP:Somerset - a question on the current interview re WP:UKW which asked "What are some of the benefits and challenges of maintaining a regionally-focused WikiProject?" triggered this thought. Somerset is nearly 4 years old with lots of detailed stats history & approx 10-15 active members who have just achieved 50 GAs in addition to 11 FA & 14 FL and around 100 DYKs. Portal:Somerset is currently nominated for FP & one of the reviewers comments queried whether it was "engaging and expansive enough to warrant featured status", however these sorts of specialised projects are one of the ways in which wp is being taken forward.— Rod talk 10:10, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
  • Scheduled WP:FEMINISM is relatively new but slowly growing. It grew out of a taskforce of the Gender Studies WikiProject. It currently oversees slightly over 400 articles. Kaldari (talk) 00:50, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Let's wait and see since this project is being revived right now. Many of the active editors at that project have not been working on the project for an extended period of time. It's still a good entry for the News Sidebar. -Mabeenot (talk) 00:29, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
  • WP:LT - we are coming up to our 5th year anniversary. It has changed a lot since what it first focussed on. WikiProject London Transport, which is fairly active and has numerous GAs, FAs and FLs to boot. Do you know where i could find help in promotion of the Portal which has deteriorated? Simply south...... 22:02, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
I'm interested in covering this. Let me see if I can schedule it in. In the meantime, for your portal, why not make it a project for your current members to get it up to scratch or setup some kind of task force. Another idea is to invite non-members who are working on LT articles to help with the portal. – SMasters (talk) 01:50, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

  • The Horror WikiProject urgently needs new members, especially seeing as how I'm hoping for a coordinator election sometime this year and other plans for revamp. We're sort of struggling to revive it due to the lack of participants.--Tærkast (Communicate) 22:03, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

    • It's been a couple years, so there's nothing wrong with doing this project again. You'll want to search for new info that hasn't been reported yet. -Mabeenot (talk) 16:04, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Special report

Special report(s) on creating, improving, and maintaining WikiProjects featuring interviews with members of multiple successful projects; also including information about the following:

Doing... I'll try to feature a bot in the news sidebar each week. We could probably devote an entire article to bots at a later date. -Mabeenot (talk) 05:50, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
  • The creation of WP:INACTIVEWP and {{WikiProject help}} could be noted here, along with a request for input and improvement ideas. Given the importance of making it easier to boost project activities, I think a standalone news piece on that would be justified - but I don't have the energy (and anyway it being my work I shouldn't really do it myself). If anyone did have the energy, that would be cool; otherwise, a sidebar note will have to do. Rd232 talk 20:32, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Doing... I'll run a sidebar item on the WikiProject Help template to the next issue and I'll see what I can do about WP:INACTIVEWP becoming a full report in the next few weeks. -Mabeenot (talk) 21:09, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
I'd like to do a special report about reviving inactive projects if nobody else does. Thomas888b (Say Hi) 20:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Go for it! -Mabeenot (talk) 04:42, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
Cool, Do I put it into the interview schedule or where? Thomas888b (Say Hi) 18:15, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Yep. Treat it like a normal report, except call it "Reviving Inactive Projects" instead of "WP ___" -Mabeenot (talk) 05:08, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
