The fat man is finally going to sing.

The feds revealed Friday that roly-poly former Bonanno crime boss Joseph Massino – the New York mob’s highest-ranking turncoat ever – will testify against successor Vincent (Vinny Gorgeous) Basciano.

“What a surprise,” Basciano said to his lawyer.

When last seen in public, Massino was pleading guilty in Brooklyn Federal Court to eight gangland murders in an extraordinary deal with the feds to let his wife keep their mansion in Howard Beach.

“A boss testifying against another boss is a sea change in the mob world,” said Thomas Reppetto, author of “American Mafia.”

“The old-time bosses like (Charles) Luciano and (Vito) Genovese are rolling in the graves. The Mafia as they knew it no longer exists.”

Massino, 68, was not called to the stand for Basciano’s 2007 murder trial – or any other organized crime trial since he became a government witness.

Basciano faces the death penalty if convicted of ordering the murder of mob associate Randolph Pizzolo.

Massino secretly taped Basciano in prison admitting he ordered the murder. They also discussed a plot to whack a federal prosecutor.

“We was okay until I got pinched…. We was on top of the world,” Massino said, according to court papers.

“We fell apart and I took the bull by the horns,” Basciano replied.

When Massino flipped, he was facing the death penalty for ordering the murder of a Bonanno capo. It’s unclear if he will ever be released from prison as a reward for his cooperation.

Last year, his brother-in-law, former underboss Salvatore Vitale, was rewarded for snitching with a sentence of time served for 11 gangland murders.

Basciano’s ex-lawyer, Barry Levin, said Massino could crumble under cross-examination.

“Massino is a pathological liar who has lied to his criminal associates his entire life. Why would he be any different now?” Levin said.

Fat rat, get the fuck out of here.

And my point in the “This will start a mob war” point is confirmed.

The Americna Mafia are a bunch of rats who rat out against other bosses in extreme measures and what really pisses me off is that they flip when facing a one year penalty (Not talking about the fat rat bastard. I’m talking about the American Mafia in general)

Usually when there is a choice of me or you, and when a life is at stake, whoever RATS first wins :P

Have you heard the saying, “You never get a second chance to make a good first impression?” I’m anxious to hear opening statements on Monday. Hopefully BASCIANO’S attorney, GEORGE GOLTZER will deliver an effective opening statement. Statistically speaking, 80% of jurors form their opinions following opening statements and no not change those opinions after hearing all evidence. In short, their final decisions tend to be the same as their initial ones.

Just as I have as a former juror myself, jurors form their first and often strongest impression of a case after opening. That’s because most people in general…and I’m talking about everyday people, not attorneys or those in the legal profession who are taught to gather facts and then come to a conclusion. I’m talking about everyday people…they make up their minds early and stick with their decision. AND, as a general rule, people, no matter who they are…those in the legal profession as well…do not like to change their minds and so a decision made early is hard to reverse. An effective opening statement pretty much determines the outcome of a trial.

Anyway, we’ll see what happens on Monday.

    CHEERS!

  6. ROSSETTI says:

QUESTION: Why is it that people post under the name “JOHN GOTTI”. That irritates me.

  7. Stugots says:

“stai zitto puttana”….that would be my opening statement towards Joe.

  8. Joe says:

Well stu, if I was you I d learn how to spell stu cazz, before using it as your signature, then i d stick in your derriere and have you whistle Dixie!

  9. Minnie Mouse says:

Don’t you all know that the mafia does not exist? It isn’t real, the few (out of the thousands mentioned in “stories”) you do see in photos and interviews are just acting. Hoover was right and because he wouldn’t go along with some things that those w/more power were implementing (e.g., mafia stories, ufo/alien stories, Project Whatever, etc.) they didn’t like him. And these so-called “top secret documents” people get via FOI Act…that stuff is entirely made up and put there by the gov’t…it’s not real. It’s all fabricated for various reasons, one being to make the gov’t appear more powerful than it ever could be!

  10. Stugots says:

It was the name of the boat in the sopranos you meathead!!

  11. carmela says:

Actually Joe, if you’re going to bother to make a point, then make it correctly. “Cazz” is the american (but i wanna be italian so soooo bad) bastardization of the phrase. Correctly said, it’s “stu cazzo”. Better yet, in Sicilian, it’s “u cazzu”.

  12. Joe says:

You keep watchin the Sopranos, mangia cazzo !

  13. Joe says:

    Is that better Carm? lol

  14. Stugots says:

Lol-sorry Joe but I do love the Sopranos…you must be a real gangster-straight out of the Ravenite and into the internet….priceless.

  15. carmela says:

now “mangia cazzo” I can relate to! :)

  16. Joe says:

You do know how to whistle dont you, Stu? In case you dont, you put your lips together and BLOW!

  17. Joe says:

    Carmela, dont you dare!!! LOL
