As a lifelong lover of Leon Russell music it was good to finally see the film. Seeing them at their debut performance of The Union together at the Beacon , it was a bit startling to see how frai lLeon seemed, though muscially they really seemed to rock together.
Elton performed for about 30 minutes after the film's end. He really did give a good performance, sounded great in the open night air though it was cold & he mentioned it.
I'm looking forward for The Good Doctor starring Orlando Bloom at Tribeca. Bloom is a great actor and I always enjoy his work. I'm sure he is fascinating in this new work as well.
Was blown away by MARATHON BOY at Tribeca. Best doc I saw there by a long way. Don't get the over the top spin & hype over Bombay Beach as Marathon Boy was head and shoulders above it both in terms of both story and filmmaking skill. Would give MB a 10 as was totally original and compelling viewing. Is still in my head.
