hey it's Spring! how did that happen, and other things.
Leading with a cute doggy picture is always a good policy after being away for a while, right? Oh, months and months passed without me writing here. That's sad (to me, anyway)! Because I do like writing here, I do. I plan to come back to this space more regularly, but I also realize that I want to think of it less as a knitting/fiber blog and just, you know. Blog! Because I am in the yarny internet space so much for work, and also because here are things that I actually do much more of than crafting, lately:
- cook. I cook all the time, I love it, I make yummy stuff most of the time, and I've rarely written about it here. That's silly!
- move. hike, run, and lately: lift weights. (Yay weights!) Starting yoga again. Hula-hoop!
- play with my dog. <3
- garden! And it's almost time to get serious in the yard again, yay!
- explore ABQ. Love this city.
- I read a lot, and sometimes I like to talk about what I read.
So, I mean, I do stuff. Bloggable stuff, even! I just don't always do yarny stuff. And sometimes when I do yarny stuff it's secret and I can't blog about it for months and months... such is the case with these, which I will blog about in detail this week:
Avivah socks (Ravelry link) from the Spring/Summer 2011 issue of Twist Collective (T.C. link). The entire issue is beautiful (the Twist team is amazing, and great to work with) and I'm so honored to be included! If you haven't flipped through the issue yet, you should definitely check it out - so many pretty patterns and good articles to enjoy. Yay, Twist Collective!
