Bayonetta by Sega is an action game where you play a witch who not only possesses magical abilities and fearsome martial arts skills, but also fatal footwear. She wages war in the third-person perspective against angels aplenty and dispatches them via her gun-laden footwear and her "witch-like abilities." Hideki Kamiya, the man who created the Devil May Cry series for Capcom, serves as Bayonetta's director, so this gory hack-n-slash game definitely has potential, especially if you love God of War or Ninja Gaiden II.
