As surprising as it sounds, gossipy media speculation about yet another Mayor Tom Menino election campaign has begun. Yes, about 18 months after he won an historic fifth term as Mayor of Boston, Menino is already ready to run again in 2013. David S. Bernstein of the Phoenix expects him to run, and to win - of course - in 2013 after talking himself into it. Menino, himself, has reportedly already decided to throw his hat in the ring. Bernstein reports the mayor told an East Boston community breakfast in April that he was all-in for 2013.

Matthew Worster, 17, of Easton was arrested for allegedly killing his mother and burying her in the family's yard. Beth Spartichino, 42, was found on Thursday after being reported missing on Wednesday. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and intent to murder, and could be charged with murder after an autopsy. Worster reportedly told his younger brother he shot his mother. Worster's parents were divorced just two weeks ago. [WCVB]
President Obama visited the FDNY firehouse that is home to Engine 54, Ladder 4, Battalion 9. That firehouse lost 15 firefighters on 9/11. After that, he met with families of 9/11 victims. A crack in a 200,000-gallon tank closed the New England Aquarium today so it can be repaired. The Aquarium will open tomorrow as scheduled. The man who allegedly masturbated in public at the Brookline Library and then ejaculated on a female he sat next to was caught in Maine on similar charges and is in Penobscot County Jail in Maine. He will be arraigned on Friday in Maine. Brookline Police don't know when he'll return to Brookline. He'll face charges of open and gross conduct, indecent assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (bodily fluids). According to Library Director Chuck Flaherty at least three patrons within 20 feet of the suspect. For a second consecutive year, Boston has a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. In 2010, the Flyers overcame that deficit to win the series.
