Labyrinth of the Minotaur

DARK AGE OF CAMELOT: LABYRINTH OF THE MINOTAUR
Expansion Overview

Labyrinth of the Minotaur is the seventh expansion for Dark Age of Camelot and introduces a new player race, a new player class, and a massive new dungeon for an exciting RvR game play experience.

BACKSTORY
The ancient race of the Minotaur has returned to the lands of Albion, Midgard, and Hibernia to reclaim powerful but corrupt relics hidden long ago by their ancestors. Lust for these relics once brought about the downfall of the power Minotaur kingdom and their evil influence now threatens the kingdoms of Man.

The minotaur seek the help of the three Realms to reclaim the lost relics and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. In exchange, the Minotaur have promised to share the secrets of the Mauler, a unique profession whose practitioners draw upon the powers of the earth to enhance their martial arts prowess.

Only the mightiest of heroes will be called into service of their king to aid the Minotaur with their quest. They will venture deep beneath the former Minotaur capital on the island of Agramon to explore the maze-like Labyrinth, a dungeon whose size knows no equal. Rumors of an army of mechanical constructs powered by dark magic abound and it is said that Cerberus himself watches over the relics.

Those heroes lucky enough to emerge from the Labyrinth in possession of a relic travel to the Frontiers as marked men. There are many that covet these relics and they will stop at nothing to possess them. The pursuit of these relics will escalate into a vast struggle that will burn like wild fire, engulfing all races and beings across the Realms.

RACE INFORMATION
This expansion introduces the Minotaur as a playable race for all realms. These minotaurs come from three different tribes of Minotaur, and will have characteristics (looks) that are different for each realm. There will not be any female Minotaurs, you will only be able to create male Minotaurs.

Minotaur are able to train to become several classes for each realm:

Albion Minotaur - Armsman, Mercenary, Heretic, Mauler

Midgard Minotaur - Warrior, Berserker, Thane, Mauler

Hibernia Minotaur - Hero, Blademaster, Warden, Mauler

CLASS INFORMATION
The Mauler class is shared between all three realms and must be activated for play by completing a special world event/quest. When completed, the event unlocks the Mauler for your realm.

The Mauler is a unique class comprised of brawny and brutish martial arts skills, along with unique powers and spells. This brawling class channels elemental powers to augment their combat abilities and styles.

Please note that you cannot use /leveled characters to become the Mauler, nor can you use the /level command once you have become a Mauler.

CHAMPION LEVELS
Labyrinth of the Minotaur expands upon the existing Champion Level system by introducing Champion Levels 6 through 10. Each Champion level will provide:

- One Champion Skill point to use on the current subclassing system. Please note that the subclassing system will not be expanded upon - you will be able to use these skill points to spend on abilities within the existing subclassing system.

- One additional level of base power points per your class.

- Characters without power or concentration prior to gaining Champion Levels will gain a small amount of power and concentration points per each level.

MYTHICAL ITEMS
As you adventure through the Labyrinth, you will find magical items that can be placed on your character's new inventory slot, the Mythical Slot.  These powerful new items are known as Mythirian.  There are three tiers of Mythirian items, each containing their own unique bonuses.

The first tier has a green inventory icon and can be equipped at Champion Level 6. These items can be found on lower level monsters early in the Labyrinth.

The second tier has a yellow inventory icon and can be equipped at Champion Level 8.  These items can be found deeper in the Labyrinth on mid to high level monsters.

The third and final tier has a red inventory icon and can be equipped at champion level 10.  These items can be found in the deepest regions of the Labyrinth.

Within each tier of Mythirian items there are three levels of bonuses: Lesser, Average, and Greater.  You will be able to locate the lesser level items on regular mobs throughout the Labyrinth.  The average items will drop from named mobs found at dead ends throughout the Labyrinth.  The Greater level items will only drop from monsters that guard the Minotaur Relics.

MINOTAUR RELICS (MINO-RELICS)
To enhance the Realm vs. Realm environment of Dark Age of Camelot, we are introducing Minotaur Relics. These are relics that provide temporary bonuses, but in order to keep the Mino-relics in play, the wielder must actively participate in RvR through killing other players. These Mino-relics are not stored in keeps; they must be kept on the wielder inside RvR areas.
