How can I recommend or share an NPR story with others?

NPR offers a variety of ways to share or recommend NPR stories.

On each individual story page at NPR.org you will find several options for sharing a page, generally located just above the story's headline. First, you will find options to share a story on Twitter or Facebook. Next, you should see an option marked 'Share' which, when clicked, will present you with several other popular sites where users can share stories with a community of users.

NPR provides these social bookmarking links as a convenience to our users. These sites are not managed by NPR. Some may require you to create an account to use their features. Be sure to check the terms of use and privacy policies of these sites to understand their practices.

In addition to these social bookmarking tools, NPR offers a feature that allows you to send an e-mail directly to a friend with information about a page on NPR.org. Just click the envelope icon (next to the printer icon, to the right of the other sharing options).

Finally, clicking the "recommend" button for a story will let visitors to NPR.org know which stories are popular with our listeners. Our most recommended stories are featured in a special window on NPR's homepage.
