Teaching

While the University provides lectures, laboratories and specialist libraries Fitzwilliam, as one of its thirty-one colleges, is responsible for providing supervision – the personalised tuition at the core of a Cambridge education – to our own students.

This individual tuition is expensive to provide, but is at the very heart of what it means to study at Cambridge.

Realising an individual's potential depends on access to excellent teachers, personal tuition and the best possible facilities, ensuring that highly intelligent, creative people achieve their own goals and are prepared to make a major contribution to society.

Supporting teaching fellowships, or contributing to one of the subject, book, or prize funds will help ensure that tomorrow's students are encouraged and enabled to excel.
