Gene Smith
General Manager, Sr. Vice President, Player Personnel

Gene Smith was promoted to General Manager and Sr. Vice President, Player Personnel on January 12, 2009. His responsibilities had increased in January of 2008 when he was given the title of Executive Director, College and Pro Personnel. His duties expanded even further in his role as General Manager, but his primary focus will continue to include the scouting and evaluation of hundreds of college and pro players on an annual basis, and the orchestration of both the college draft and pro free agency processes. Gene is assisted by ten talent evaluators with over ninety years of scouting experience in the NFL. He works closely with head coach Jack Del Rio and the coaching staff to collectively build a playoff caliber Jaguars roster.   Read more




Terry McDonough
Director, Player Personnel

Terry McDonough was promoted by General Manager Gene Smith to Director, Player Personnel on Jan. 12, 2009. He scouts the top collegiate players throughout the nation, as well as the top free agency prospects each year. Additionally, McDonough does crosschecks, attends all major all-star practices and selective spring player workouts of the top draft-eligible players as well as handling the trades with other teams on draft day. Louis Clark
Assistant Director, Pro Personnel

Louis was promoted to assistant director, pro personnel on May 13, 2003, after serving as a college scout for the Jaguars since 1997. A former wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers, Clark handles the advance scouting and also assists in college player evaluations.   Read more




Tim Mingey
Assistant Director, College Personnel

Tim Mingey was promoted to Assistant Director College Personnel on Jan. 12, 2009 and has been with the Jaguars since 1994, serving as a college scout for nine years before being named executive scout in 2003. He has the responsibility of scouting the southeast region of the United States. In February 2010, Mingey was presented the C.O. Brocato Scout of the Year Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.   Read more




Andy Dengler
National Scout

Andy Dengler was promoted to National Scout on Jan. 12, 2009 and has been a Jaguars college scout since 1998. He is responsible for scouting the top collegiate players throughout the nation. Dengler joined the Jaguars from the National Football Scouting combine, where he was an area scout in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions the previous four years. He has some additional pro personnel responsibilities as well.   Read more




Jason DesJarlais
Regional Scout

Jason DesJarlais was promoted to regional scout on June 1, 2009. He joined the Jaguars as their BLESTO scout for the southeast area on May 18, 2007. He is responsible for scouting the midwest of the United States. Prior to joining the Jaguars, DesJarlais was the Special Teams Coordinator/Defensive Assistant at Yale University. While at Yale, Jason served as an intern for scouting during the Jaguars 2006 Training Camp.   Read more




Chris Driggers
Pro Scout

Chris Driggers is in his 14th year scouting and 17th overall with Jaguars. Now in his second season in the pro department, after scouting the southwest for nine years, Driggers is now responsible for grading pro evaluations and player workouts, as well as college evaluations.   Read more




Marty Miller
Regional Scout

Marty Miller is in his ninth season with the Jaguars, joining the organization on February 21, 2002. He begins his fourth season as the West Coast regional scout for the Jaguars. As well as covering the West Coast, he has some additional pro personnel responsibilities scouting select free agents on NFL rosters. The previous four seasons, he worked the northeast United States as a regional scout. His initial season in Jacksonville, he worked as the team’s scouting assistant. In that capacity he assisted the pro scouting department, evaluating players in the NFLEL, the CFL, the Arena League and doing some advance scouting of NFL teams and their practice squads.   Read more




Chris Prescott
Regional Scout

Chris Prescott begins his second season as the southwest regional scout for the Jaguars. In 2008, he served as the northeast regional scout. He has been with the department since 2002. He will be responsible for the southwest United States for the Jaguars.   Read more




Brian Simmons
Regional Scout

Brian Simmons was named northeast region scout for the Jaguars on June 1, 2009. A veteran of 10 years in the NFL, Simmons played linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints before beginning his career in scouting.   Read more




Jake Peetz
BLESTO Scout

Jake Peetz was named BLESTO Scout on June 1, 2010 after being named Scouting Assistant, College/Pro Personnel on May 27, 2008. His duties include the evaluation of college players in the southeastern United States.   Read more




Patrick Mularkey
Scouting Assistant, Player Personnel

Patrick Mularkey was named Scouting Assistant, Player Personnel on June 1, 2010. His duties include assisting in the day-to-day operations of the scouting department. He is responsible for the evaluation of assigned college players and NFL teams including the evaluation of unrestricted NFL free agents and players in the Arena Football League. He also works with draft-eligible player visits in the spring and workout players throughout the regular and off-season.   Read more
