University of Miami's BankUnited Center Ranks Second Among Florida Venues By National Magazine

(Coral Gables, FL - April 4, 2007) The University of Miami's BankUnited Center ranks second among all Florida facilities in its size category (5,000-seat to 10,000-seat), according to Venues Today, one of the entertainment industry's leading publications. The current issue (April 2007), which spotlights all Florida public assembly facilities, reports the BankUnited Center outperformed all but one other venue (in its category) for concerts and touring events in 2006.

"This is a true testament to our region, the venue and the hardworking staff of the Global Spectrum-managed facility who work tirelessly to make the BankUnited Center the tremendously successful venue it has quickly become," said Global Spectrum's Patrick L. McGrew, General Manager of BankUnited Center.

"We are extremely proud of what Global Spectrum has been able to do for the University of Miami by bringing top-notch entertainment and quality performances to our students, our staff, our alumni and the surrounding region," said University of Miami's Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Services Mel Tenen. "This special ranking is a reflection on Global Spectrum's efforts and the support of so many of our fans throughout the region."

The most notable events that Global Spectrum booked in 2006 that factored in to the number two ranking featured sell out concerts by Andre Rieu and Fall Out Boy, as well as performances by the Lipizzaner Stallions, Casting Crowns, Univision Premios Juventud, All American Rejects, MTV Unplugged with Ricky Martin, Sesame Street Live and Death Cab For Cutie.

In an effort to surpass their efforts from 2006, Global Spectrum is already focused on obtaining the number one spot for 2007. In January, the BankUnited Center hosted two back-to-back sell out concerts featuring The Fray (January 25) and John Mayer (January 26). The venue has already hosted the Blue Man Group (February 27), Rockstar Taste of Chaos (March 9), Snow Patrol (March 19), Dionne Warwick (March 25) and the Wildcat Rally featuring Ciara and Omarion (March 30).

The management company is aggressively booking the facility with upcoming performances from contemporary Christian group MercyMe (April 12), a comedy show headlined by Bruce Bruce (April 13) and the Billboard Latin Music Awards which will be televised live on Telemundo (April 26).

The BankUnited Center (, "The Best Mid-Size Venue In The World", is a 7,000-seat multipurpose entertainment and sports facility located on the University of Miami's Coral Gables campus that hosts concerts, family shows, trade shows, lecture series, sporting events and the University of Miami men's and women's basketball teams.

Global Spectrum, the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 65 facilities throughout the United States and Canada, manages the facility. The Philadelphia-based company is part of one of the world's largest sports and entertainment companies, Comcast-Spectacor, which also owns the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association, the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community ice skating rinks, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, a regional sports programming network, Ovations Food Services, a food and beverage services provider, New Era Tickets, a full-service ticketing and marketing product for public assembly facilities, and Front Row Marketing Services, a commercial rights sales firm & 3601 Creative Group, a full-service in-house advertising agency.
