Former Life Unexpected executive producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen have been chosen as the new showrunners for fellow CW series 90210. The news comes on the heels of the announcement that season 2 and 3 showrunner Rebecca Sinclair will not continue on the series. 90210 was recently picked up for another season, set to premiere this fall.

Their first order of action should be to lure back lapsed viewers by bringing back the originals (Brenda, Kelly, etc). It still sickens me that this show pissed all over Donna and David’s happy ending.

no way, it’s not about the originals anymore! they had their day.

      • tom

why is this still on the air?

      • Flip

If that’s the case, then surely you must agree they should change the name. 90210 belongs to the ORIGINALS, not these loser pretenders.

I don’t watch the new 90210 much but it doesn’t seem like the originals have much of the part in the series. Why did they mess up their endings if they weren’t going to use those characters for something important?

That’s what I’d like to know. Only Kelly was fairly well-integrated into the show. Brenda’s story went nowhere, and Donna’s return only served to break up her marriage. If this show’s not going to include anyone from the original series, it should’t be calling itself “90210″. It’s “Generic Teen Drama”.

Yeah, I watched for Season 1 and then stopped when the originals left. I’m 29 and I don’t mind teen drama shows, but this one didn’t do it for me.

Agreed. I only tuned in for Brenda and Kelly (and later Donna). The new kids are HORRIBLE!! I am not interested in them and would never watch a show about them unless Doherty, Garth and more of the originals co-starred.

Seasons 2 and 3 have been awesome.

It was finally having ok storylines, up until the crazy teacher was caught. Ever since it’s been boring as hell. They need to come up with some better storylines for Dixon and Annie. The original 90210 had a storyline going on with pretty much everyone, always. This show just can’t seem to come up with compelling storylines for all the characters. I think I’m done if the first couple with the new showrunners next year flop.

Season 1 was good because Brenda, Kelly, and Donna were part of it. Since only Kelly was in Season 2 and not even in Season 3, that means Seasons 2 and 3 were the worst seasons.

I haven’t watched this season because they moved it to Monday at 8.00. Chuck and HIMYM conflict.

‘Life Unexpected’ showrunners? That only means one thing: We’re gonna cry during the whole 4th season. A lot.

  • cj

Would rather have had “Life Unexpected” stick around….

Are the 90210 kids still in high school? If so, prepare for one or more of them to sleep with a teacher. I really liked Life Unexpected until that storyline. So cliche.

Kelly should’ve been around for Silver’s senior year of high school. It’s ridiculous that Silver lives in Kelly’s house and we never see Kelly or hear about her. And it’s really retarded that Kelly isn’t going to be at Silver’s graduation from high school. That’s horrible writing!

    • bobbyh

The graduation should have taken more priority in this episode. Annie & Dixon’s mom wasn’t even there, and yeah, it bugs me that Silver lives behind Kelly’s house, but she never even mentions her. I love the show, though, and the last 2 seasons have been great.

The next thing they should do is hire the girl that played LUX. LOVE HER.

The bigger question will Trevor Donovan’s character be back???

All I know is that Life Unexpected was cancelled… can anyone tell me if it was a good show?
