Leeds Civic Trust in association with Leeds City Council promotes a weekend of Heritage Open Days every September to coincide with similar events throughout the country, co-ordinated by English Heritage. Building owners across Leeds play a full part in this national event by opening - with free admission - buildings rarely open to the public, while experts lead walks and tours introducing people to many different aspects of the heritage of our district.
We are committed to Heritage Open Days and are always keen to add more participants, particularly in the suburbs. If you know of an interesting building or know a member of a group who might lead a local walk, please get in touch.
A leaflet including details of Leeds HODS events will be available from the Trust and most libraries from mid-July onwards. An up-to-date list of openers and events - both local and nationwide - can be found online from early August onwards at http://www.heritageopendays.org/
