EADS to complete partial Socata sale to Daher within days - report
06.27.08, 2:56 AM ET

PARIS (Thomson Financial) - EADS NV is expected to complete the partial sale of its Socata unit to French aerospace, defence, nuclear and automobile group Daher in the coming days, Les Echos reported.

The paper said EADS has decided to accept the proposal Socata and Daher have made together for the supply of equipment for the landing gear of Airbus's new A350 XWB programme, provided Daher takes over the Tarbes-based EADS unit.

EADS would retain a 30 percent to 40 percent stake in the unit, which makes general aviation aircraft as well as aerostructures for Airbus, Dassault Aviation and Eurocopter, Les Echos reported.
