Lap 60 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. passes Jeff Gordon for 10th; Kyle Busch moves up to 12th.
Lap 58 -- Matt Kenseth is reporting a vibration and may be headed to pit road to have a tire changed.
Lap 57 -- Jimmie Johnson passes Brad Keselowski for fifth.
Lap 55 -- Carl Edwards and A.J. Allmendinger separate themselves from the pack; Denny Hamlin is in third, 5.1 seconds off the pace.
Lap 53 -- Carl Edwards takes back the lead as Matt Kenseth finds third.
Lap 50 -- Dale Earnhardt continues to gain ground, up 14 spots since the green dropped and into 11th.
Lap 48 -- A.J. Allmendinger leads as Jeff Burton pits. Brad Keselowski takes sixth away from Jimmie Johnson, passing on the low side.
Lap 47 -- Carl Edwards is told to be careful coming down pit road; he takes tires and fuel with no adjustments. Tony Stewart gets a tire pressure adjustment. Brad Kesleowski is on pit road and reports he's getting beat in the center
Lap 46 -- Dale Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon take tires and fuel as Jeff Burton takes the lead.
Lap 45 -- Carl Edwards stays out and takes the lead. Ryan Newman takes a track bar adjustment on pit road.
Lap 44 -- A.J. Allmendinger gives up second to pit for tires and fuel. Kyle Busch is loose on pit road and taking a wedge adjustment.
Lap 43 -- Kevin Harvick says the car is terrible. David Reutimann is on pit road with a tight race car. Martin Truex Jr. is on pit road for tires and an air adjustment.
Lap 42 -- Jeff Burton moves up to third. Jamie McMurray pits for tires and reports the car is too slow.
Lap 40 -- Denny Hamlin rounds out the top five as Jimmie Johnson finds the bumper of the No. 11.
Lap 39 -- Matt Kenseth is fast and on the move, up 11 spots and into seventh.
Lap 37 -- Carl Edwards remains out front, 2.6 seconds ahead of A.J. Allmendinger.
Lap 32 -- Temperatures of 134 degrees are being reported inside Tony Stewart's car. Joe Nemechek is back in the race.
Lap 30 -- Greg Biffle will need his cool box changed on the car during his first pit stop. As hot as it is at the track, this could me a major issue for the No. 16 team. Biffle is running in 11th.
Lap 28 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. has gained nine spots as well, up to 15th.
Lap 27 -- Jamie McMurray is the biggest mover, up nine spots to 26th.
Lap 25 -- Carl Edwards puts Robby Gordon a lap down.
Lap 24 -- A.J. Allmendinger catches Brad Keselowski for second.
Lap 22 -- David Stremme heads to the garage.
Lap 20 -- Carl Edwards maintains his lead out front, but Brad Keselowski is starting to close.
Lap 19 -- Martin Truex Jr. moves up two spots to 12th.
Lap 17 -- Jimmie Johnson drops to seventh with teammate Jeff Gordon in eighth.
Lap 16 -- David Reutimann moves up to sixth.
Lap 15 -- Clint Bowyer remains in 10th, but Ryan Newman is on his bumper.
Lap 13 -- Mike Skinner is in the garage.
Lap 12 -- Jeff Gordon moves into eighth, up three spots since the green dropped.
Lap 9 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. reports no problems after hitting the wall. Jeff Burton moves up to fourth.
Lap 8 -- Carl Edwards takes the lead from Brad Keselowski.
Lap 5 -- Mike Skinner is into the wall after starting the race in a backup but the race stays green.
Lap 4 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. falls out of the top 10 and into 12th.
Lap 3 -- Clint Bowyer is up two spots to eighth; Denny Hamlin drops two spots to sixth. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. just touches the wall.
Lap 2 -- Carl Edwards moves up a spot to second.
Lap 1 -- Brad Keselowski gets off to a good start and leads the first lap.
6:20 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Brad Keselowski leads the field to green and the Coca-Cola 600 is under way. Landon Cassill, Mike Skinner, Regan Smith drop to the rear.
6:14 p.m. -- The cars roll off pit road for their warm-up laps.
6:10 p.m. -- John Falkenbury, president of the USO, Master Sgt. Spanky Gibson, Gene Gibson and Mary Gibson give the command to start engines.
6:04 p.m. -- Darius Rucker performs the national anthem.
6:03 p.m. -- Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, delivers the Invocation.
5:30 p.m. -- FOX's pre-race coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 is under way.
3:15 p.m. ET -- It's a big day for racing in Charlotte, as the Cup Series teams prepare to put it all on the line in the season's longest race. Green flag is set for 6:19 p.m. ET.
