Soccer: Bohemians fined by UEFA

Bohemians' impressive UEFA Cup defeat of Aberdeen has been soured somewhat by UEFA's announcement today that both clubs must pay a fine of £4,000 for the improper conduct of their fans during the tie. There were several incidents during the second leg in Dublin, where Bohs booked their place in the next round courtesy of a 1-0 victory, which saw them through 3-1 on aggregate.

The fine, imposed by the European governing body's control and disciplinary committee, has taken some of the edge from the victory, but nonetheless, the Dublin side will be looking forward to their meeting with German side Kaiserslautern next week.

Kaiserslautern have completed the signing of Polish international defender Tomasz Klos from French club Auxerre today but he won't be able to line out against Bohs on Monday at Tolka Park as he has already played for Auxerre in the Intertoto Cup against Stuttgart.
