The second day of the ETUC Congress focuses on the fight against inequality and precarious jobs and the protection of public services.
The Congress adopted the chapters of the Strategy Action Plan on jobs and financial regulation, the European social model and greater equality and social cohesion.

The Congress of the ETUC approved in Athens today an emergency resolution to urge Ecofin to change its political course immediately
During the first day of the ETUC congress in Athens, trade union delegates from 36 countries sent a clear message with an emergency resolution and a letter to the ministers of Finance urging them change the logic of the financial bailouts, to respect the autonomy of social partners and to remind them that Europe has no competence on pay.
