Max Payne

Max Payne by Take 2 Interactive puts you in the role of a DEA operative deep undercover, snared between avenging the mafia murders of his wife and child and being framed for the murder of a fellow agent. It's a dark and seedy tale of corruption and murder. A third-person action game, Max Payne's "Bullet Time" feature--where the action switches to slow-motion--is an innovative and influential play mechanic that is imitated in other similar genre offerings.
