Marie Antoinette Soundtrack Will Be A Modern Affair

Bow Wow Wow

More details have emerged about the two-disc soundtrack for director Sofia Coppola's upcoming film, Marie Antoinette.

The soundtrack was supervised by Air drummer Brian Reitzell, who also co-ordinated the music for Coppola's last film, Lost In Translation.

In addition to two new remixes of Bow Wow Wow's "I Want Candy" and "Fools Rush In" from the reclusive Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine), the decidedly modern soundtrack will include previously released songs by The Strokes, New Order, The Cure, Aphex Twin, Gang Of Four, Air and others. It will be released on Oct. 10 by Verve Forecast.

The film, which stars Kirsten Dunst in the title role, opens on Oct. 20.
