Once the preserve of dour middle-aged men in flat caps, football is now a classless sport and nothing exemplifies this better than the raft of celebrities who regularly attend matches.

Some would argue that the sport is in their blood and that despite their status they still religiously follow their team. Others have no doubt been attracted to the cleaner, sanitised version of the game that emerged in England in the mid 1990s.
