When Brooklyn psych-rockers Yeasayer appeared on "Conan" last month, they debuted the new song "The Devil and the Deed". And at a show in Columbia, Missouri last week, the band played that song, as well as a couple of other new joints, "Henrietta" and "Demon Road". Below, check out fan-made videos of all three songs. That crowd is amped!

Video: Major Lazer Preview Second Album

As the Fader points out, the Mad Decent YouTube page recently posted a video of Major Lazer producers Diplo and Switch in Jamaica, working on their follow-up to the 2009 party-starter Guns Don't Kill People-- Lazers Do. In the video, we see clips of Diplo and Switch climbing around in a wooded landscape and messing around in the studio, and we also hear clips of a few songs. According to the Fader, those clips feature contributions from dancehall artists Jahdan Blakkamoore and Vybz Kartel and Dirty Projectors singer Amber Coffman.

Jay Reatard's Lost Sounds Get Best-Of Comp

The late punk Jay Reatard was best known as a solo artist, but he'd also been part of an absurd number of bands. Those bands did a whole lot of recording, and the records they left behind are ready for rediscovery. Last month, Goner released a BNM'ed reissue of Teenage Hate, an album from Reatard's old band Reatards. And as Exclaim! reports (via the Daily Swarm), Fat Possum is now planning to release a vinyl best-of retrospective from Lost Sounds, a frantic, synth-damaged punk band that featured Reatard and Alicja Trout (also of River City Tanlines). That release, Blac Static, arrives July 19.

MP3: Iceage: "New Brigade"

Iceage, a crew of postpunk teenagers from Copenhagen, have garnered attention in recent months for their often-violent live shows and for New Brigade, their short, frantic debut album. And now the band is getting ready to launch a North American invasion. New Brigade is already out in Europe, and What's Your Rupture? will release an American edition on June 21. (UPDATE: DAIS Records has previously released New Brigade on limited edition vinyl in North America. The WYR? edition will be available on LP, CD, and digitally) Above, we've got the cover art, as well as three album tracks: the BNM'ed "Broken Bone", "White Rune", and the title track.

Around the same time the album comes out here, the band will also land on these shores to embark on a fairly extensive tour. We've got their dates below, as well as the album's tracklist.

Pitchfork Fest Reveals Environmental Initiatives

Pitchfork Fest Reveals Environmental Initiatives

The Pitchfork Music Festival is only about a month away. It takes over Chicago's Union Park July 15-17, with a lineup that includes Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes, Neko Case, DJ Shadow, Cut Copy, Guided By Voices, the Dismemberment Plan, OFWGKTA, and many others. Three-day passes are sold out, but single-day tickets are still available here.

In addition to providing a rewarding experience to music fans, the Pitchfork Music Festival takes its responsibility to the environment seriously, and we encourage our audience, musicians, and vendors to do the same. Last year, PMF recycled 42% of waste by weight (10 tons), and this year, the goal is to break 50%. The following are some steps we're taking to ensure that our environmental "footprint" is as small as possible.

Hear She & Him's Buddy Holly Cover

Plus: Fiona Apple and Jon Brion do Holly's "Everyday"

Hear She & Him's Buddy Holly Cover

We've already heard a bunch of songs from Rave On Buddy Holly, the all-star tribute album dedicated to the bespectacled rock and roll originator, which arrives June 28 on Fantasy Records/Concord Music Group. And now Stereogum has a stream of another one: She & Him, the forever-adorable duo of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, doing a cutesy-as-hell version of the classic Holly rave-up "Oh Boy".

Video: Best Coast: "Gone Again"

Right now, Adult Swim is in the early stages of the second year of its Adult Swim Kia Singles Program, the free mp3 series that gives away music from a ton of cool artists at no cost. Next week's entry in the series is "Gone Again", a characteristic piece of fuzz-pop from Best Coast. And the Adult Swim folks have also made a video for the song, with Daniel Garcia directing.

Video: Belle and Sebastian: "Come on Sister"

Stuart Murdoch in a landfill

Video: Belle and Sebastian: "Come on Sister"

The next single to be taken from Belle and Sebastian's latest album, Write About Love, is the peppy "Come on Sister". Appropriately, there's a video for a new version of the song (mixed by Tony Doogan) now, directed by Paul Fegan and featuring concert footage filmed by the Forest of Black and Glen Thomson. The basic conceit of the clip: when the indie-pop troupe aren't touring, they're working dead-end jobs, whether that's molding sets of fake teeth or maintaining an ice cream truck. This is one of the few times you're going to get to see Stuart Murdoch in a landfill, too, so cherish it. Watch the video below.

Listen: The Rapture: "How Deep Is Your Love?"

Listen: The Rapture: "How Deep Is Your Love?"

New York dance-punk veterans the Rapture return with new album In the Grace of Your Love September 6 in the U.S. and September 5 in Europe, via DFA, and in Australia and New Zealand via Modular. Today, DFA shared the first track "How Deep Is Your Love?" as part of its White Out Sessions video series. So that means DFA has posted a clip of someone walking into a room, slapping the 12" on a turntable, and flicking on a disco ball. The camera holds steady, and we get to hear the entire seven-minute-plus disco banger, complete with glorious saxophone solo.
