Who is Patrice "Pato" Wilson? That's a very good question! He's the founder of Ark Music Factory, the Little Shop of Musical Horrors that created Rebecca Black. Pato just gave his first exclusive interview ... to Ark Music Factory's YouTube Channel. By "interview," I mean a video wherein a "reporter" asks "hardball questions" like "Who are you?" and "What is Ark Music Factory?" and Wilson gives informative responses like, "That's a very good question!"
I couldn't actually make it through this whole interview, so someone will have to let me know if there was anything interesting after the part where he talked about how much work he puts into the artists we watch on "television and TV."
Can we get an actual interview or, I dunno, a trial or something for this fellow? The internet demands it!

Just what the doctor ordered! I was just wondering where I could learn more about that guy.
I love how he bursts in to every song like Ludacris. Such a ridiculous type of music but he's right-- listen to a few of those songs aside from Rebecca and it's just not any worse than the radio. That 'Butterflies' song, if someone had told me it was Taylor Swift or something I doubt I'd know the difference.
Plus every song comes with a Pato interlude. He's the best part.

Oh good God yes, you missed some gems. First of all, Patrice doesn't charge artists. But if he does charge artists, it's anywhere from two to four thousand dollars, which is a good deal because they even get lunch. He also informs us that if you compare one of Ark's songs to radio pop songs, they actually use less autotune, but they use more autotune to level the playing field.
I had to watch this horrific crap twice to make sure I heard his contradictions right.

I personally don't take offense to their business model. It's unconventional, but I don't believe they are scamming anyone. If someone's willing to pay you to do something, an it's not illegal, you should be able to do it.
But this interview just makes him look incompetent. First of all, why is he wearing sunglasses? It makes him look arrogant. And if people can't see your eyes, they can't connect with you and believe that you are being sincere. Then of course his vague answers that make him seem totally unprepared for the questions. Dude, you didn't get cornered on the street by this interviewer, you set up the interview in order to clear up misconceptions about your company! You had a week to plan the questions and your responses. And apparently this interview was the big reveal that was set up by the mysterious "The Truth About Ark" video uploaded on Wednesday, but they completely neglected to post it on their Youtube account or at least post a link. So it looks like they are just teasing the Youtube viewers. You had to go to their home page to find the interview, and on Friday, the day they hyped up, they had an error message saying they had to reupload the video because of "poor sound quality". YOU ARE A COMPANY THAT SPECIALIZES IN RECORDING MUSIC, HOW COULD YOU SCREW UP SOUND QUALITY IN AN INTERVIEW VIDEO?
I really think they screwed up their opportunity. All he had to say was "this is what we do: .... Now the world knows about us, so if you want to be a part of this, let us know. We'll make you a video that will be guaranteed to get views because of Rebecca Black."
