Girls from the Steel City ruled in the results of Intermediate examination whose results were declared on Friday by Jharkhand Academic Council. Though Saket Bhattacharjee of the Asanboni Intermediate College, Ghatshila sub division, topped Kolhan division with 389 marks in the Science stream but it was Kumari Deepika of KMPM Inter College, Bistupur who earned city topper tag with 388 marks in the same stream. The third Science topper in the list was Prakash Kumar of Karim City College who secured 377 marks.

A tribal woman, employed as Sahiya at Giadhaikorai village in Dumka, registered a case with the Sadar Police that she was forced to establish physical relation with unknown persons by the district coordinator of Sahiya programme threatening that if she resisted - her job would be discontinued.
Bullet Two killed in road accident in Garhwa
Two persons were killed and two others seriously got injured in a road accident at Bhagwan Ghati on Bhawnathpur-Ketar road. The injured are being treated in Government hospital Garhwa. Deceased are identified as Ranjit Singh (35yrs), a resident of village Narshinghpur under Bhawnathpur police station and Dhiraj Singh (28 yrs), a resident of village Biktam under Garhwa police station.
