Press and Media

The Public Affairs Unit of the Court is responsible for media relations and the provision of services to facilitate accurate media coverage of the activities of the Court. It prepares and disseminates information through different means including printing and audio-visual materials such as media advisories, press releases, background notes, fact sheets and other publications in the working languages of the Court, English and French.

Press releases and media advisories are distributed by email to subscribers and accredited journalists.

The following publications are also available in the ICC website and upon request: The booklet “Understanding the ICC;” the fact sheets “The International Criminal Court at a Glance”, “The Office of the Prosecutor”, “Presidency and Chambers”, “Victims before the ICC”, “The Judges” and “The Victims Trust Fund”; and the poster with the Preamble of the Court.

All ICC relevant public legal documents such as the Rome Statute, the Rules of Procedure and Evidence, Regulations of the Court, judgments, motions and decisions are also online at the disposal of the press.

Under Photo Gallery there are a number of digital photographs (high and low resolution) and broadcast-quality videos which can be freely used by members of the press, with excerpts of the most relevant proceedings and a collection of pictures of the Court's principals, courtrooms, detention centre, amongst others. The rushes are available in mpeg4 format (video and audio) and on mpeg3 format (only audio).
