No Budging Beyoncé From Hot 100 No. 1

Comments

Beyoncé's "Check On It" featuring Slim Thug registers at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth straight week. The cut also sticks to No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, but falls 2-7 on the Hot Digital Songs roundup and is replaced at the top of the Pop 100 by James Blunt's "You're Beautiful."

"You're Beautiful" holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100 and leads Hot Digital Songs for a third week, while Nelly's "Grillz" featuring Paul Wall and Ali & Gipp remains No. 3 on the Hot 100 and leads the Hot Ringtones chart for a fourth week.

Sean Paul's "Temperature" rises 8-4 on the Hot 100 and is the chart's greatest sales and airplay gainer. The cut also climbs 6-2 on the Hot Digital Songs chart. Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" descends 4-5 on the Hot 100, but nets its ninth week atop the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

On the Hot 100, T-Pain's "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" falls 5-6, Chris Brown's "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" ascends 9-7 and Ne-Yo's "So Sick" drops 7-8. Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" jumps 11-9, while Eminem's "Shake That" featuring Nate Dogg dives 6-10 to round out the top tier.

The chart's top debut belongs to Willie Nelson's "Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly (Fond of Each Other)" at No. 52. As previously reported, the country music icon premiered the gay-themed track on Valentine's Day on Howard Stern's Sirius Satellite Radio show and has made it available exclusively through iTunes. Nelson's last Hot 100 appearance came with his 2003 Toby Keith duet "Beer for My Horses." Prior to that, he hadn't charted there since 1984's "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" with Julio Iglesias.

Other tracks new to the Hot 100 are Chamillionaire's "Ridin'" featuring Krayzie Bone (No. 88), Three 6 Mafia's "Poppin' My Collar" (No. 91), Aly & AJ's "Rush' (No. 92) and E-40's "Tell Me When To Go" featuring Keak Da Sneak (No. 99).

On the Hot Country Songs chart, Brad Paisley's "When I Get Where I'm Going" featuring Dolly Parton seizes the No. 1 position from Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take The Wheel," which falls to No. 3 after leading the chart for six weeks.

Daddy Yankee's "Rompe" remains atop the Hot Latin Songs chart for a 13th straight week, and Lifehouse's "You And Me" maintains the No. 1 spot on the Adult Contemporary chart for a sixth frame.

Nine Inch Nails' "Every Day Is Exactly Tte Same" rises 3-1 on the Modern Rock chart, sending 10 Years' "Wasteland" to No. 2, and Nickelback's "Animals" leads the Mainstream Rock tally for a fourth week.
