Selecting Keywords
You can enter a keyword or phrase in each field. To search for a specific phrase,
use quotation marks (e.g. "Martin High School").
All keywords also search for synonyms. For example, a search for "Anderson College"
will also return results for "Anderson Colleges," "Anderson-College," and other
variations.
Using the AND/OR Options
You can enter up to five separate keywords or phrases in your search.
Use the AND option to specify that your additional term is required to trigger a
match. For example, a search for "Ohio" AND "University" will search for any obituaries
that include both of those terms, regardless of the order in which they appear.
Use the OR option if you want to search for wide variations, like "Martin High School,"
"Martin Smith High School," OR "M.S.H.S."
Searching the Last Name Only
By default, your search applies to the entire obituary text. However, you may restrict
your search to the last name only. For example, if you enter the keyword "Jones"
and select 'Last Name Only,' your search will only return matches where "Jones"
is included in the last name field of the obituary.
