Battlefield Vietnam: World War II Mod

What is it: Battlefield 1942's most popular Pacific Theater maps updated with new tricks and today's technology

Why do I want it: Lush grass and overgrowth beautify Battlefield's landscapes and offer new opportunity for stealth and subterfuge -- landmines buried in all that bush keep tanks and APCs on the beaten path, and tropical thickets give snipers more play space. But don't plan on pitching tents for too long; flamethrower wielding foes don't need to know your exact whereabouts to flush you out. Walls of fire are also ideal for clearing bases and bunkers and sealing entrances to and exits from crucial locations. Other enhancements include big-bang mortars for holding back enemy offensives, and the ability to provide covering fire while riding shotgun in jeeps, life rafts, and landing craft. -- Shawn Elliott
